My fishing passion started before I was born. My parents were shad fishing on the Delaware River in early May when my mother went into labor around 5 o’clock. The fishing was so good they stayed fishing until dark and then went to the hospital to have me. Since as long I can remember all I wanted to do is fish. At the age of 5 I was introduced to Lake Ontario when my father and grandfather took me up fishing. This became a 3 times a year event for the next 13 years. At the age of 18 I started fishing the Salmon River for salmon and trout. I purchased a 17 foot tracker and outfitted it with cannon downriggers and a furuno fish finder and found my way back onto the big lake in search of salmon and trout.
It wasn’t long before I met several top notch anglers and was invited to fish with them on their tournament team “Cold Steel”. This was when I knew I need a bigger boat. From 2008 until the present I still fish with Cold Steel in tournaments. These guys have become more than friends to me, they are family. We’ve won the Lake Onterio Challenge Cup 3 times and have had numerous top 10 finishes. In 2014 I purchased my first “big” boat the Dirty Goose. Dirty Goose is the first team to win the Atommick Triple Crown 2 years in a row. I continued to fish tournaments with Cold Steel on their boat but also fished some events on my own with great success. I’m proud to say I love to fish and I’ll fish until my last day.
